Last week we lost two legends: Dolly Parton and Tim Curry. As we all know, Dolly was universally beloved: someone who sparked joy, radiated a kindness matched only by Mr. Rogers, and put hundreds of millions of books in the hands of children. She could make any song amazing. Tim Curry, meanwhile, likely appeared in your nightmares at some point in your life. The embodiment of Dick Dastardly meets Dick Van Dyke, he played bad in the most memorable and lovable ways, with energy so outsized that he could star with the Muppets and almost come off as one of their own. They shared the same sincerity in their eccentricities: an honesty in their presence so electric that you could sketch them both from memory.<\/p>\n
