{"id":3130,"date":"2025-04-18T09:00:06","date_gmt":"2025-04-18T13:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/?p=3130"},"modified":"2025-04-11T09:04:36","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T13:04:36","slug":"grad-access-to-online-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/?p=3130","title":{"rendered":"Grad Access to Online Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Graduation from law school doesn&#8217;t mean that you lose all access to the resources you&#8217;ve grown to depend upon for the last three years.\u00a0 Some resources will be available for a few months and some for the rest of your life!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bloomberg Law<\/strong> &#8211; BLaw will continue unlimited access to your account for six months after graduation.\u00a0 Your account will remain active until <strong>November 30, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lexis <\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Unlimited access to your account extends through <strong>December 31, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Westlaw &amp; Practical Law &#8211; <\/strong>Access to Westlaw and West Practical Law extends 18 months after graduation (<strong>December 31, 2026):<\/strong> Sign up via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lawschool.tr.com\">http:\/\/www.lawschool.tr.com<\/a><strong>. <\/strong>While there are no restrictions against using them in a professional setting, you are limited to 60 hours of research per month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What about other library resources? \u00a0Alumni have perpetual access to HeinOnline and JStor.\u00a0 In order to use these resources, sign up at the <strong>Alumni Portal<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/uronline.net\">https:\/\/uronline.net<\/a>).\u00a0 \u00a0If you have reference questions, you still have access to the reference chat feature on the library&#8217;s homepage or you could email <a href=\"mailto:lawrefdesk@richmond.edu\">lawrefdesk@richmond.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 If you live and work in the Richmond area, the law library is open to members of the local bar.\u00a0 You can apply for a library card, and most importantly, come to the library to use the databases on which you&#8217;ve learned to rely.<\/p>\n<p>Contact <strong>Joyce Manna Janto\u00a0<\/strong>(<a href=\"mailto:jjanto@richmond.edu\">jjanto@richmond.edu<\/a>)\u00a0 for any questions about access to library resources.
