In the law library here at Richmond School of Law, we don\u2019t see a need to debate this point. However, we like to remind our students that it\u2019s possible to supplement your reading\u2014and studying!\u2014with audio sources. All law students have access to several databases featuring audio lectures, podcasts, and eBooks on topics from torts to trials to trademarks. Whether you\u2019re an auditory learner or just looking for a break from reading casebook after casebook in the same Century Schoolbook font, here are resources you can listen to at anytime: whether you\u2019re walking your dog, washing your dishes, or taking that drive (or flight) home for the holidays!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\r\n<figure><\/figure>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/subscription.westacademic.com\/\"><strong>West Academic Study Aids<\/strong><\/a>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Our subscription to West Academic includes both <a href=\"https:\/\/subscription.westacademic.com\/Search?typeFilter=11\">audio lectures<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/subscription.westacademic.com\/Search?typeFilter=7\">audio books<\/a> of popular study aids (including the <a href=\"https:\/\/subscription.westacademic.com\/search?typeFilter=7&amp;seriesFilter=31&amp;isLti=false\"><em>Short &amp; Happy Guides<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/subscription.westacademic.com\/search?typeFilter=7&amp;seriesFilter=47&amp;isLti=false\"><em>Sum and Substance<\/em><\/a> series).\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ebooks.aspenlaw.com\/\"><strong>Aspen Learning Library<\/strong><\/a>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Aspen\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ebooks.aspenlaw.com\/searchresults?keyword=audio&amp;searchinType=all&amp;option=catalog&amp;type=quick&amp;display=collapsible\">In Other Words<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>audio series covers fundamental topics in law, including first-year basics and upper-level elective topics. Each lecture is written and presented by a law professor or legal practitioner.\r\n<figure><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lexisdl.com\/library\/richmond\/\"><strong>Lexis Digital Library<\/strong><\/a>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>The Lexis Digital Library contains <a href=\"https:\/\/lexisdl.com\/library\/richmond\/browse\/collection\/1335878\">audio versions of eleven titles from the <em>Understanding<\/em> series<\/a>\u00a0(including <em>Understanding Civil Procedure<\/em>, <em>Understanding Criminal Law<\/em>, <em>Understanding Property Law<\/em>, <em>Understanding Evidence <\/em>&amp; <em>Understanding Constitutional Law<\/em>).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cali.org\/\">Computer Assisted Legal Instruction<\/a> (CALI)<\/strong>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Most students will recognize CALI for their interactive lessons and scholarship awards, but CALI also features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cali.org\/podcasts\">topic-specific podcasts<\/a> (or \u201cLawdibles\u201d) from the same law professors and legal practitioners who author CALI\u2019s lessons.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>In addition to traditional study aids, podcasts are also a great resource for exam preparedness and law school success.
