Firefox is the answer!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Parchment is a service a lot of Universities are using to deliver secured copies of transcripts to recipients.\u00a0 They&#8217;re SO secure that the normal ways in which we may save the PDF to remove the encryption doesn&#8217;t seem to always work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So what do we do?\u00a0 Firefox (the browser) to the rescue!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6224 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2023\/01\/Screenshot-2023-01-10-at-5.57.42-PM-300x76.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"76\" srcset=\"https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2023\/01\/Screenshot-2023-01-10-at-5.57.42-PM-300x76.png 300w, https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2023\/01\/Screenshot-2023-01-10-at-5.57.42-PM-150x38.png 150w, https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2023\/01\/Screenshot-2023-01-10-at-5.57.42-PM.png 404w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit Firefox.com to download and install the browser<\/li>\n<li>Copy and paste the link you receive from Parchment into the Firefox browser to open the transcript in a web page<\/li>\n<li>Click the green Download button &#8211; this will open the transcript document in another browser window or another tab within Firefox<\/li>\n<li>Choose &#8220;Print&#8221; in the browser window or tab.\u00a0 In the Print dialog box, select &#8220;Save to PDF&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Why Firefox?\u00a0 It seems other popular browsers such as Chrome and Safari download the attachment versus opens the file in a browser window or tab by default, which is causing encryption issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other questions?
