{"id":7829,"date":"2026-08-25T11:11:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/?p=7829"},"modified":"2026-08-25T11:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:11:09","slug":"passport-fair-september-10-fees-waived-for-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/create.richmond.edu\/lawlibrary\/?p=7829","title":{"rendered":"Passport Fair &#8211; September 10 &#8211; Fees Waived for Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is a Passport Fair happening on Thursday, September 10th.\u00a0 As part of this program the University of Richmond will cover application fees for eligible law students who sign up.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re a law student and you are considering international travel, such as with our fabulous <a href=\"https:\/\/law.richmond.edu\/academics\/study_abroad\/cambridge.html\">Cambridge Summer Program<\/a>,\u00a0 read this note with details and sign up for an open slot.\u00a0 If you have questions about the Cambridge Program, contact <a href=\"https:\/\/directory.richmond.edu\/bios\/jgibson\/\">Professor Jim Gibson<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/law.richmond.edu\/faculty\/aspaldin\/\">Professor Andy Spalding<\/a>.\u00a0 With a bit of planning, it&#8217;s possible to work a summer job AND participate in this fabulous program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Passport Fair &#8211; Thursday, Sept 10, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, INTC Commons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>State Department staff will be here to process applications for new US passports and renewals.<\/p>\n<p>UR will cover application fees for regular UR undergrads and law school students. Others (faculty, staff, family, MBAs, Osher members, SPCS) may submit applications, but will be responsible for fees.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants should bring:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; photo ID (plus photocopy)<br \/>\n&#8211; completed form DS-11 or DS-82 (do not sign it yet!)<br \/>\n&#8211; evidence of US citizenship (e.g., official birth certificate)<br \/>\n&#8211; 2&#215;2 passport-format photo (1)<br \/>\n&#8211; previous passport (if applicable)<\/p>\n<p>Sign up! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/409054BA9A82CA0FA7-64910260-2026\">https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/409054BA9A82CA0FA7-64910260-2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note: You must be a US citizen to take part.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
