Two hundred thirty-nine years later, the Muse Law Library celebrated with a full week of trivia, a timely lecture, and, of course, a full-sheet Ukrops’ cake. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, played along, and packed the Moot Courtroom. Here’s a look back at Constitution Week 2026.

All Week: Constitution Trivia at the Reference Desk—All week long, the Reference Desk facilitated the Constitution trivia contest from 9am to 5pm. Every correct answer earned a raffle entry. A large number of Richmond Law students put their knowledge of the founding document to the test, and the questions ranged from whether Benjamin Franklin supported the bald eagle as America’s symbol to which founding fathers were not present at the Constitution’s signing. Whether you aced it or learned something new, we hope you’ll keep visiting the Reference Desk all year. Trivia is just one of the many reasons to come by.

Thursday, Sep. 17: The Constitution Day Lecture—This year’s Constitution Day Lecture could hardly have been more timely. Professor Riley Keenan gave a talk titled The President’s Removal Power After Slaughter and Cook in the Moot Courtroom. The attendees, comprising law students, faculty, and other guests, posited several questions to Professor Keenan during the Q&A—ranging from the future of the separation of powers doctrine to the congressional structure of quasi-independent agencies. Needless to say, it was an extremely informative and engaging discussion.

Friday, Sep. 18: Cake & Trivia Prize Raffle—We ended the week in the Law Commons with cake and the trivia prize raffle, sponsored by Bloomberg Law. Congratulations to our winners, Liberty Wigen, Alan Edwards, and Trey McAdams!

Thank You to Our Partners—Constitution Week was possible only because of our partners: Bloomberg Law and the Richmond Law Chapter of the American Constitution Society. Thank you for helping us celebrate the Constitution’s signing, and for helping make the Law Library a place where students can explore current constitutional questions outside the classroom.

See you all next Constitution Week!

[36947,96623,36494,36878
208639,208667,208666,208668,208645,96634
post-7847","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-food-and-fun","category-legal-news","category-library-news","category-student-news","tag-constitution-week","tag-educational","tag-law-library-event","tag-rich-law-community","tag-student-news","tag-student-services
["GET
