The Science Museum of Virginia hosted a fundraising event called the Illumination Gala in mid-April. The University of Richmond sponsored a table which I was asked to attend along with my colleague, Prof. Kelling Donald, and a group of our wonderful students. It was fun to get dressed up, to enjoy some delicious food, to listen to the Governor and First Lady of Virginia speak, and to know that it all supported science education in our city.
